Clearooms vs Condeco (now Eptura Engage)
If you knew this product as Condeco, it's now Eptura Engage, part of the Eptura portfolio formed when Condeco merged with iOFFICE and SpaceIQ in 2022. Below, we compare it with Clearooms on how the pricing models differ, what sits behind higher tiers and add-ons, and which platform suits which kind of organisation. We make Clearooms, so we've linked a source for every fact about Eptura and dated when we checked it.
The short version
Clearooms is built for organisations of any size, from a single office to multi-site estates of 500+ desks.
Choose Clearooms if you want desks, meeting rooms and parking at a published price: per desk from £60/month with unlimited users, monthly rolling billing, and SSO, SCIM, Teams and Smart Booking AI on every plan. You also get UK support, AWS Ireland hosting, Cyber Essentials Plus and a self-serve 30-day trial.
Consider Eptura if you run a large multi-country estate. Engage is a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Workplace Experience Applications, and its sensor-driven occupancy, wayfinding hardware and the wider portfolio (Archibus, Serraview) are built for that scale. Budget accordingly: per-user annual licensing with no prices on its website (from £57,321 a year for 500 users on its G-Cloud 15 listing, with a 3-year minimum term), and hardware, badge check-in and implementation sold as add-ons.

The pricing difference: transparency versus quotation
You can price Clearooms without talking to anyone. Every band is published in six currencies: a 19-desk office pays £66/month on rolling billing (£60/month annually), with SSO, SCIM, Teams and the API included.
Eptura publishes no prices on its website, and licensing is based on users, billed annually. So a hybrid organisation with 500 staff sharing 150 desks licenses 500 people, not the 150 desks that they share. The only public UK figures are on JLL's G-Cloud 15 listing for Engage: indicative annual fees of £57,321 for 500 users on the Advanced tier or £71,049 on Power, on a 3-year minimum term. The same 150 desks on Clearooms fall in the published 100–199 desk band: £275/month billed annually, £3,300 a year, compared with Eptura's annual fee (or £303/month, £3,636 a year, if you pay monthly).
If you need sensor-led occupancy data or the wider Eptura portfolio at multi-country scale, those are real Engage strengths. Clearooms still covers catering, AV and set-up requests through Room Services, included on every plan, and its utilisation data can feed Power BI.
Where each platform is stronger
Clearooms is stronger on
- Transparent, per-desk pricing: published bands, unlimited users
- Commercial flexibility: monthly rolling contracts, self-serve 30-day trial, no setup fees or hardware bill
- UK company, EU hosting: UK company, AWS Ireland hosting, pricing in pounds, Cyber Essentials Plus, G-Cloud 15 listed directly
- Support: the same support on every plan, with a dedicated Customer Success Manager, plus phone, email and live chat with our UK team during office hours
- Door access: Paxton Net2 and Salto with automatic check-in, included and not an extra add-on
- AI for everyone: Smart Booking recommendations on every plan
- Review satisfaction: Capterra 4.7 from 232 reviews, none below 3 stars
Eptura is stronger on
- Enterprise scale and analyst recognition: a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Workplace Experience Applications; Eptura says it serves "50% of Fortune 500 brands"
- Sensor-driven occupancy: desk sensor pairing for automated check-in
- The wider portfolio: Archibus, Serraview and asset management from one vendor
Worth knowing: Eptura's own reviewers repeatedly flag support quality since the merger, a dated admin interface and Outlook add-in bugs. If you're an existing Condeco customer weighing the move to Eptura, test support responsiveness on both before renewing. Some Clearooms reviewers would like more integrations beyond calendars, Slack, Zapier and door access, and we don't hold ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification ourselves.
Frequently asked questions
-
Is Eptura the same as Condeco?
Effectively, yes. Condeco merged with iOFFICE and SpaceIQ in October 2022 to form Eptura, backed by Thoma Bravo and JMI Equity, and the Condeco booking product is now sold as Eptura Engage. Visitor management is a separate Eptura product (Eptura Visitor, formerly Proxyclick), and the wider Eptura portfolio now includes Archibus and Serraview.
-
Is Clearooms cheaper than Eptura?
Usually, for hybrid offices. Eptura publishes no prices on its website and licenses per user, billed annually, with hardware, badge check-in and implementation as add-ons. On the G-Cloud 15 listing for Engage (via reseller JLL), 500 users cost an indicative £57,321 a year on the Advanced tier, on a 3-year minimum term. Clearooms prices per desk with unlimited users: if those 500 staff share 150 desks, the published 100–199 desk band costs £3,300 a year billed annually.
-
Do Clearooms and Eptura include SSO and Microsoft Teams?
Both include SSO, SCIM and a Microsoft Teams integration as standard; Eptura doesn't limit them behind a higher tier. There are differences in how they use AI: Eptura lists intelligent and natural-language booking and conversational Teams booking in its top Power tier, while Clearooms includes Smart Booking recommendations on every plan.
-
Where is data hosted and what certifications do they hold?
Clearooms is a UK company hosting on AWS in Ireland (EU) and holds Cyber Essentials Plus. Eptura is US-headquartered (Atlanta) with a London EMEA office, runs Engage on Microsoft Azure with data held in the EEA and other locations, and holds ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II and Cyber Essentials (not Cyber Essentials Plus), according to its G-Cloud 15 listing.
-
Can I try Clearooms or Eptura before buying?
Clearooms offers a self-serve 30-day free trial with every feature included and no card needed. Eptura's website offers demos rather than a free trial, and its G-Cloud 15 listing also says no free trial is available.
-
Can organisations outside the UK use Clearooms?
Yes. Clearooms is used by organisations worldwide. Prices are published on our website in six currencies (GBP, USD, EUR, CAD, AUD and NZD), the app is available in multiple languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Welsh.
-
When is Eptura the better choice?
For large multi-country estates that want sensor-driven occupancy, wayfinding hardware, or the wider Eptura portfolio (Archibus, Serraview). Engage is a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Workplace Experience Applications. If you want booking, parking and integrations at a published per-desk price without enterprise procurement, Clearooms is your best option.
