The pricing difference: people or desks

deskbird charges for each active user; Clearooms charges for each desk, room and parking space, with unlimited users. Which works out cheaper depends on how many people share your desks.

Take an office of 50 people sharing 19 desks. On deskbird's Business plan that's 50 users at £2.50 a month billed annually, £1,500 a year (£1,950 on monthly billing, which still carries a 3-month minimum term). SAML SSO, SCIM and HR sync sit in the User & Data Management Plus add-on, room kiosks in Rooms Plus, and the public API on Professional, none of which have published prices.

Clearooms publishes the same office at £60/month billed annually, £720 a year, or £66/month on monthly rolling billing, £792 a year, however many people book, with SSO, SCIM, Teams, room displays and the full REST API included.

For a small team where everyone has a desk, the sums get closer: deskbird's 25-user minimum is £750 a year billed annually. Its planner and HR integrations are good, so if those are what you need, compare totals including the add-ons you'll use.

Where each platform is stronger

Clearooms is stronger on

  • Pay per resource rather than per user: costs don't rise as headcount grows
  • Every feature on every plan: SSO, SCIM, Teams, room displays and the API are never add-ons
  • Published prices: one public price list, no unpriced add-ons to request
  • Flexible terms: monthly rolling with no minimum term, compared to a 3-month minimum and automatic renewal under Swiss law
  • Full REST API and Zapier on every plan
  • Support: the same support on every plan, with a dedicated Customer Success Manager, plus phone, email and live chat with our UK team during office hours
  • Floor plans drawn for you if you need them, from £95
  • Longer trial: 30 days with every feature, compared with deskbird's 7
  • A UK supplier: a UK company, Paxton Net2 door access and a G-Cloud 15 listing

deskbird is stronger on

  • Hybrid scheduling: a mature office-day planner with attendance-policy tracking
  • HR integrations: more than 20 HR systems, including UK ones such as Breathe and PeopleHR
  • Sensor-free occupancy: usage data from Wi-Fi and desk docks
  • AI features: a Workplace Agent and Microsoft Copilot integration

Worth knowing: for small teams where everyone has a desk, deskbird's per-user price can be close to ours, and its office-day planner includes attendance-policy tracking. Some Clearooms reviewers would like more integrations beyond calendars, Slack, Zapier and door access, and we don't hold ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification ourselves.
