Clearooms vs Kadence
Kadence, formerly Chargifi, is a hybrid work platform built around getting teams into the office on the same days, founded in London and now with teams in the UK and the US. Below, we compare it with Clearooms on how each charges, what sits in the higher plan and their pricing terms. We make Clearooms, so we've linked a source for every fact about Kadence and dated when we checked it.
The short version
Clearooms is built for organisations of any size, from a single office to multi-site estates of 500+ desks.
Choose Clearooms if you'd rather pay per desk than per person, with a published price in pounds or five other currencies and every feature on every plan, including room displays and Paxton Net2 and Salto door access. You also get monthly rolling billing with no minimum term, Cyber Essentials Plus, a self-serve 30-day trial and a dedicated Customer Success Manager for every account, from £60/month.
Consider Kadence if your priority is getting teams in on the same days: Kadence suggests which days each team should come in, checks people in from the office network through a desktop agent, and adds space planning through its SpaceOps product. Budget per active user on an annual contract with a one-year minimum.

The pricing difference: per desk vs per active user
Kadence charges for each person who makes a booking in the month, on an annual contract with a one-year minimum. It doesn't publish prices on its website, but its G-Cloud 15 listing does. Clearooms publishes one price per band of desks, plus a price per room, however many people share them.
Take an office of 120 people with 40 desks and 4 meeting rooms that wants SSO. If all 120 people book each month, Kadence WorkOps Team costs £36 per active user per year on its G-Cloud 15 one-year price: £4,320 a year, billed annually. Room displays need WorkOps Pro at £53, or £6,360 a year. If only half of them book in a typical month, Team would be nearer £2,160. Those are public sector prices; Kadence quotes other buyers directly.
Clearooms costs £95 a month for 40 desks plus £10 a month per room, billed annually: £1,620 a year, compared with £4,320 on Kadence Team. Kadence doesn't offer monthly billing; Clearooms billed monthly is £1,788 a year. That includes SSO, SCIM, Teams, room displays and the full REST API.
Clearooms' price stays the same however many people share each desk. Kadence charges for people who book in a given month, so its cost drops in months when fewer people come into the office.
Where each platform is stronger
Clearooms is stronger on
- Pricing that doesn't grow with headcount: per desk and per room, with unlimited users
- Published prices in six currencies on our website, where Kadence only publishes prices on its G-Cloud listing for public sector buyers
- Flexible terms: monthly rolling with no minimum term, compared to a one-year minimum that renews automatically
- Every feature on every plan, including room displays
- Door access: Paxton Net2 and Salto, with automatic check-in
- Parking: vehicle profiles, pool cars and parking rules
- Cyber Essentials Plus, the UK NCSC's audited standard
- Floor plans: upload your own free, or we draw one from £95, with a first draft within 48 hours
- A self-serve 30-day trial with every feature, no demo needed
Kadence is stronger on
- Suggested team days: Kadence suggests which days each team should come in together
- Automatic check-in from the office network through a desktop agent, with no sensors
- Presence-based analytics, with custom dashboards on Pro
- AI in Teams and Slack for booking and finding colleagues
- Space planning: scenario modelling and stack planning through SpaceOps
Worth knowing: Kadence's team-day coordination, network check-in and presence analytics go further than ours, and its reviewers mention reports that are hard to customise, floor plan changes that need a support request and cost for smaller groups. Some Clearooms reviewers would like more integrations beyond calendars, Slack, Zapier and door access, and we don't hold ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification ourselves.
